Big Hat Championship Series

The Big Hat Championship Series is back! Owner Rudy Calzavara is delighted to announce that details for the 2008 contestant incentive awards have been finalized.

There are seven participating rodeos as well as a Bull Riding.

•July 9 Ottawa, IL

•July 19 St. Charles, IL

•August 1 Oregon, IL

•August 2 Oregon, IL Bull Riding

•August 5 Milledgeville, IL

•August 9 Belvidere, IL

•August 16-17 Elkhorn, WI (Tough Enough to Wear Pink)

•September 13 Belvidere, IL

ALL of the participating rodeos will award a $50.00 fuel card to the high money winner in each event at the rodeo. (The St. Charles, IL rodeo will award a $100.00 fuel card to the winner of each event) At each rodeo the high money winner of the Barrel Racing will receive a stunning custom designed jewelry set. The Elkhorn, WI rodeo will feature a TETWP design.

A buckle will also be given to the winner of the Battle of the Bulls on August 2nd at Oregon, IL.

Series awards include: High Money Winner (in one or multiple events)

*Other awards will be sent to the IPRA/CSRA websites

In all events, (except Team Roping) you must compete in a minimum of 5 rodeos/bull ridings. In Team Roping a minimum of 4 rodeos are required. Points will be awarded as follows:

1st place: 250 points

2nd place: 150 points

3rd place: 100 points

4th place: 75

5th place: 50

6th place: 25

A Competition bonus of 100 points will be awarded for each rodeo you compete in.

Bull Riding points from the August 2nd Oregon, IL “Battle of the Bulls” will count for both the CSRA year end BR standings as well as the Big Hat Series BR standings but will NOT count towards high money winner bonus.

Remember, a buckle will also be presented to the winner!
